You Are Unrevitalized

Thank you, Chubby H. (Is that really your name? lol), Newport Beach, CA, for your review of the vegan/plant-based restaurant, Cafe Gratitude, in Los Angeles, CA.
Listen, listen, listen. I did not know that you could throw up from a nut allergy until I googled it five seconds ago - I thought it was just hives and anaphylaxis - so right off the bat, I assumed you were lying. I can admit when I'm wrong sometimes - sometimes - and in this situation I was wrong.
Before I continue, I do think I should clarify where I stand on veganism, with a short personal tale. A couple of months ago I was invited to a barbecue and was asked ahead of time whether I wanted a beef burger, turkey burger, or veggie burger. I was actually in the mood for a veggie burger, but I requested a beef burger because I didn't want them to think I was a vegetarian. So, ya know, I'm glad there are people who want to be vegan; I'm not one of them.
Nut allergies are definitely something that should be taken seriously (anaphylaxis, duh), but you went to a vegan restaurant. What is even left for you people to eat if not nuts? Lettuce? Also, to repeat verbatim what was said in your review: "After she drank it she was told there were no nuts in her smoothie." After she drank it. If you have a nut allergy, the responsibility is on you to address this before potential contact.
If you have celiac, don't go to a place called Bread City. If you have a shellfish allergy, don't go to Red Lobster. If you have self-diagnosed celiac, don't go out to eat at all; you guys are so annoying. And if you have a nut allergy, maybe don't go to a vegan restaurant. It's just common sense.
Sorry I can't be more sympathetic.
One out of five stars.
See you next Tuesday.
