Thank you, Natalie G., AZ, AZ for your review of The Hungtingon Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens in Pasadena, CA.

Call me crazy, but if I'm going to wake up in the morning and drive directly to a location that is in another state, I'm going to call ahead to make a reservation. Or I would at least call to see if they're open, during which phone call, they would likely inform you that you need a reservation.

A simple Google search would have sufficed. It would have led to their website, which would have informed you that they do require reservations; a system implemented during the pandemic, which started 5 (now 6) years ago. There's been plenty of time to figure this out, Natalie.

While I agree we should eat the rich, the intention with which you say this ignores the blatant sense of entitlement you seem to be experiencing. You failed to make a reservation, and you believe they should make an exception just because you drove far? Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on theirs. If you can afford gas money from Arizona to California to look at some flowers, I think you can afford to stay the night and come back prepared.

I read a similar review written by a gentleman who drove from Alaska to Yosemite National Park, only to be turned away due to his lack of a reservation. Oh wait, here it is!

Maybe you two should travel together. Let me know if you'd like me to connect you.

Two out of five stars.

(I'm giving you an extra star because the thought of you feeling embarrassed because of your age makes me sad. The actual embarrassing part is that you wrote a review about it! This could have stayed between you and the person behind the front desk, but noooooo, you had to make it public. Embarrassing.)

See you next Tuesday.
