Guess Who?

Thank you, Maria C., Azusa, CA for your review of G by Guess in West Covina, CA.
You may have noticed that many stores are locking up certain items, requiring the consumer to press a button alerting a sales associate to assist them in retrieving said items. This is bad news for many, but especially for me, as you see, Maria, we are very different people.
I (and I cannot express this enough) hate when a sales associate approaches me in a store. The minute I am welcomed in, I want to turn around and leave. Don’t talk to me, don’t nod at me, definitely don’t look at me! Please leave me alone. I will live without toothpaste and deodorant for the rest of my life if I have to ask someone to help me get it every single time.
Not to sound all "Gen Z" but this is very "Boomer" of you. Expecting a certain level of professionalism is understandable, leaving because they didn't say hello is not. If you had needed help with something specific, I'm sure they would have been happy to oblige. Besides, working in retail is a notoriously crappy job. Do you pick up clothes you've accidentally knocked off the hanger? Probably not; most don't.
In a time when everyone is desperate to be seen and heard, I urge you to find another outlet for this in your life. Someone making minimum wage at a Guess store is not going to fill that void.
Tomato, tomahto, Maria, you and I will both be going without the things we need, but for completely opposite reasons.
One out of five stars.
See you next Tuesday.
