If you’ve tuned into the news or opened social media, I’m sure you’ve heard that fires are burning all over Los Angeles, causing damage that can only be described as catastrophic. My plan today was to honor some of the places we lost by sharing some genuinely kind, positive reviews because not much feels funny right now BUT…

I came across something and I just couldn’t let it go.

Thank you, Jeff S., Simi Valley, CA for your review of The Bunny Museum in Altadena, CA which, since 1999, has held the record for the most bunny items in the world. Up until the fires, 46,072 to be exact.

Sir, the sentiment is lovely but I will address the elephant in the room: Three stars?!

According to Wikipedia, this business was started by “married couple Candace Frazee and Steve Lubanski, who started collecting the items after they began a tradition of giving each other new rabbit-themed gifts every day.”*** clearly out of a passion for rabbits. This is their livelihood. The interviews with them after losing everything are devastating and you’re giving them THREE STARS.

The only excuse I can make for you is that the amount of stars is because you’re sad. It’s not five stars because five stars come from a happy person, and you’re not happy because The Bunny Museum burned down. If this is just what you felt about the business in general, this is not the time and you should keep that shit to yourself. On the bright side, I got a laugh out of this. (It was more of a quick guffaw but you get the idea)

Three stars. Man, people are weird. But not a fun-weird, like opening a museum dedicated to bunny memorabilia.

Two out of five stars for you because I am sad, and your review has baffled me.

See you next Tuesday.

*** Every day? I have so many questions, which if they can rebuild, I want answered. Who is giving their spouse gifts every day? Specifically rabbit-themed. Every single day? Every. Day. Am I neglecting my husband?
