Thank you, Lady L., Long Beach, CA for your review of Los Angeles Guinea Pig Rescue in Los Angeles, CA.
My first thought upon reading this is how many guinea pigs are running around the mean streets of Los Angeles looking for shelter? Which makes my second thought this scene from Best in Show:
Ultimately it begs the question, does anyone ever really need a guinea pig? The answer is obviously no since a place like this exists. But the fact that it does is hilarious to me and it’s no surprise that the name of the person running it is Saskia.
Saskia the magnificent guinea pig wrangler.
Saskia has no judgment about the fact that you succumbed to the insatiable desires of your eight-year-old child and got them a house pet in the form of a guinea pig only to quickly realize that they are incredibly boring, they smell, and not even your child's friends are impressed by them. Saskia loves guinea pigs and she just wants to find them a warm home most likely with another weird adult like herself.
There really is something for everyone.
Lady L., it does delight me that you had such a great experience with the Los Angeles Guinea Pig Rescue and I know for sure that you will be back given the lifespan of a guinea pig is only 5 - 7 years. I am afraid I can only give you four out of five stars. Reading your review has reminded me of my elementary school friend who had two guinea pigs in a cage in her CARPETED room. Can you imagine? It would take longer for them to remove the odor and comb out any leftover tiny poops than it would for a guinea pig to experience its whole life.
Four out of five stars.
See you next Tuesday.
