A Bit of a Pickle

Has anyone ever told you that you're a bit tedious? You are exactly the kind of person who made me stop playing pickleball. You guys need to relax! It's supposed to be fun!

This isn't your fault, but complaining about anything related to pickleball will always sound ridiculous. Whoever named this sport did not anticipate the... let's say, devotion of the players it would attract. You're hitting a green wiffleball back and forth, there is a part of the court called The Kitchen, and the ball is named after a vegetable. It is not a serious sport. It is a lot harder than people realize, but that's the last bit of defending I shall be doing.

If your standards are so high, I'm sure there are some private clubs that you could pay to join, so you don't have to get on your hands and knees to retrieve your ball. There will be servants for that, of course!

These might be valid complaints, but the detail in which you've described them sounds like you think they should burn the place to the ground and start over. "Inconsistent bounce," or are you just not very good?
